The challenge
CCS Medical partnered with Pyxl for a comprehensive website redesign following a recent rebrand. As the Lead UI Designer, my primary challenge was to seamlessly translate this new brand identity into a compelling digital experience. This required close collaboration with my team to effectively convey CCS Medical’s commitment to expert care and support, ensuring the website authentically reflected its renewed vision.
Who is CCS Medical?
CCS Medical is a leading provider of home-delivered medical supplies and comprehensive support services for individuals managing chronic conditions, particularly diabetes. The company offers a wide range of products, including continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps, and other essential medical supplies. Beyond product delivery, CCS Medical provides patient education, monitoring, and personalized coaching to enhance health outcomes and simplify chronic care management.
01. Discovery
The discovery phase, led by Creative Director John Sierra, involved a series of in-depth workshops to gain a comprehensive understanding of CCS Medical’s mission and key challenges. With the visual brand already established, our focus was on aligning the user experience to ensure a seamless and cohesive digital presence.

02. UI Exploration
Once the UX wireframes were finalized, I joined the project as the Lead UI Designer, responsible for bringing the website’s visual identity to life. Working closely with the UX Lead, I ensured that my design direction seamlessly aligned with the planned user experience, including interaction design. To establish the overall look and feel, I developed a style scape prototype, showcasing potential layouts, interactions, and content presentation to create a cohesive and engaging web experience.
03. UI Design System
Consistency is fundamental in UI design, as it ensures a seamless and intuitive user experience. To maintain visual harmony across the website, I developed a comprehensive design system encompassing typography, button styles, and a cohesive color palette. Establishing a structured approach to these elements not only reinforced brand identity but also improved usability by creating predictable patterns for users to follow. By defining a clear set of styles and components, I ensured design consistency across all pages, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality while streamlining the development process.
04. High Fidelity UI Mockups
Consistency is fundamental in UI design, as it ensures a seamless and intuitive user experience. To maintain visual harmony across the website, I developed a comprehensive design system encompassing typography, button styles, and a cohesive color palette.
